Vidya Prasad, Of Counsel
Vidya Prasad — known by friends, colleagues, and clients as “V” — spent the first 22 years of her life in India, where she received her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from the University of Madras, India.
She began her legal career as a law clerk for a criminal judge, she soon realized that her interest was in civil practice. Nearly a decade later, she joined a major Princeton-area law firm as a partner, where she once again began representing petitioners. As the years passed, she decided to set out on her own and founded Prasad Law Offices. Through these years of professional and personal development, her experience has grown to encompass workers’ compensation, Social Security disability, Supplemental Security Income, real estate, and municipal court defenses.
She has been co-chair for the New Jersey Workers’ compensation division of NJDA, and is a member NJCOSH, as well as the Mercer County Bar Association. Vidya is also on the zoning board of the township where she now lives with her family and is on the board of a few area arts organizations. In her spare time, she enjoys music and dance.
